KSRTC concession for students & Guidelines to Apply



Let us have a look on the instructions to be followed for availing of concession from KSRTC for school and college students. A distance of 40 km is the limit set by KSRTC for students to avail of concession. For more than this limit, the students should produce a certificate of attestation from the head of the institution, stating that the student has got admission under govt merit quota and there is no other institution within the set limit of 40 km of distance which conducts the course of study chosen by the student. Usually, the bus concession is permitted to students to travel in ordinary buses only. The bus concession is allotted from the day of commencement of the course of study for school and college level students and those who study under semester system can avail of it continuously – from the beginning to the end of the course. How to apply for KSRTC concession When a student applies for KSRTC concession for the first time, he/she should get an identification certificate in the prescribed format(application form can be downloaded from the link below). Along with the application, 2 photographs attested by the head of the institution also be submitted. This application form should be given to the KSRTC depot which is very nearby from the place of residence of the applicant. The ID card issued by the head of the institution also should be attached for address proof.
